Our Work

  • The Project:

Our team infused energy into a legacy chapter of this national nonprofit organization. We increased its membership by 30 percent in 3 years and doubled the size of the audience at its programs to more than 700 unique attendees in an average year. Our team led board development, strategy, community partnerships, and marketing.

NACD-Research Triangle Chapter

  • The Project:

Our team built LaunchBio from inception to a national nonprofit network supporting life science innovators.

Successes include the launch of the wildly popular “Larger Than Life Science” networking program in the key biotech hubs of Research Triangle Park, San Diego, Cambridge, San Francisco, New York and Philadelphia.

In Dallas-Fort Worth, we serve as strategic partners for Pegasus Park, the centralized regional hub for life science innovation which is now home to a thriving network of startups, accelerators, industry and academic partners. Our work allowed LaunchBio to secure and manage a competitive EDA Build to Scale grant for Pegasus Park and was instrumental in the region’s win of an EDA Good Jobs Challenge grant to develop the biotech workforce. Pegasus Park recently was selected as the ARPA-H Customer Experience Hub, evidence of the dramatic rise of the region’s prominence in life sciences.

  • The Project:

The Freelance League of NC was envisioned as a network of support for independent workers.

We built a 2,500 person network of freelancers, independents and solopreneurs in the Triangle, and organized popular networking events including Freelancers Happy Hour, Freelancers Coffee Break and the Freelance League Holiday Invitational. We convened a wide cross-section of creatives, writers, strategists, technologists, and conducted original research in partnership with the University of North Carolina Department of Anthropology and with support from NC IDEA.
